About Our Phlebotomy Training Program
Twin Cities Medical Training provides hands-on phlebotomy training in Minnetonka, Minnesota, designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in healthcare. Our one-week, 40-hour program combines classroom instruction with supervised hands-on practice to help students build confidence and real-world skills.
Students are trained in blood collection techniques, patient safety, infection control, and professional standards required in medical settings. Upon completion, students are eligible to sit for a national phlebotomy certification exam, opening opportunities throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.

What you’ll Learn
Students in our Minnetonka phlebotomy training program will learn:
Venipuncture and capillary blood collection techniques
Anatomy and physiology related to blood collection
Infection control, OSHA safety standards, and sharps disposal
Order of draw and proper specimen handling
Patient communication and professional bedside manner
HIPAA compliance and ethical responsibilities
Special collection procedures (blood cultures, glucose testing)
Preparation for a national phlebotomy certification exam
This hands-on training prepares students for work in hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and healthcare facilities across Minnesota.
